Since we’ve moved into our new place, space is a constraint and we’re often on the hunt for space saving tools. When looking for pots and pans, my husband came across the Tefal Ingenio Cookware. After he showed it to me, I was so blown away with their removable handle and the fact that we could save so much space when we stack the pots and pans in our kitchen cupboards WITHOUT ANY POT / PAN HANDLES!
I’ve been using it since we moved in and I AM ABSOLUTELY LOVING IT!! Seriously! I’m not saying it for the sake of saying it, but the Tefal Ingenio is seriously easy to use and also to clean!
The Tefal Ingenio 5 Piece Set includes an 18cm saucepan with lid, a 28cm Wok Frying Pan and a 26cm frying pan. It also includes one silicone lid (for the 18cm saucepan), and one removable Bakelite handles. The saucepan and two frying pans are non-stick and only the 2 frying pans includes the classic Tefal Thermo-spot. The entire range is also available to buy as individual pans. However, it is much cheaper to buy it as a set! If you need additional add on later it’s a great comfort to know that you can purchase them individually.
The 2 most amazing feature I love about the Tefal Ingenio Range is that firstly, all saucepans and frying pans contains the the extremely innovative non-stick coating that is extra durable and highly resistant thanks to an exclusive, ultra-thick hard base in titanium and a new protective coating reinforced with titanium particles. I found that I didn’t have to use much oil in my cooking. Also, the pans heated up pretty quickly and evenly. I tried making pancakes and they came out PERFECTLY with a lovely and even golden brown on each side! AND they were so easy to flip! certainly no sticking or struggling to get the pancakes to flip! You can also use the pans for cooking in the oven!
Secondly, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the removable handles!! I had my doubts and concerns at first. “Will this hold up?”, “Is this a gimmick?”, “What If I’m cooking half way and the handle fails on me and the hot pan goes flying on the floor or WORSE on ME??”. After using it, my doubts and concerns went flying out the door!
The removable handle feels robust and didn’t struggle or budge with the weight of even the larger pans when full. The removable handle also meant that the entire Ingenio range is easy to store; you can stack them neatly inside one another, taking up minimal cupboard space!
The Tefal Ingenio range can be used on both the conventional gas stove or induction cooker! So there is no need to spend extra money on a separate set of cookware for induction cooking!

Like a 3 piece set, 4 piece set, 5 piece set.. etc. Do take note that the lid and handle is counted as part of the set. E.g: Our 5 piece set include 3 pans, 1 lid and 1 handle. Personally, I would recommend the 5 piece set as you’ve got the essential pans needed to cook a full proper meal!
