I haven’t seen so many new home-based business pop up in any year than in 2020! Yang’s Kitchen Char Siew is one that is pretty close to my heart! It’s started by my close friend and my Husband and I have has the privilege to be part of his trial and error process!
I don’t think we’ve eaten so much Char Siew in a year! Now that Yang’s Kitchen is up and running we couldn’t be happier!
The face of Yang’s Kitchen is Uncle Yang! Yang’s Kitchen is an ode to Uncle Yang who was a lover of good food! Here’s what Yang’s Kitchen Char Siew looks like!
Review
Yang’s Kitchen Char Siew is perfectly charred on the outside and super juicy and tender on the inside! The meat is also dripping in sticky, sweet and savory sauce!
Also, the fat to lean meat ratio is absolutely perfect! It’s not too fatty and not too lean! The melt-in-your mouth fat and juicy Char Siew, paired with steamed white rice is one of the most comforting meals you’ll have!
In my opinion, what makes Yang’s Kitchen Char Siew different from others is that Yang’s Kitchen Char Siew is a perfect combination of traditional Cantonese flavour with a modern sticky caramelised honey/malt combo! You can actually taste the balance flavour of the 5 spice seasoning together with the sweet caramelised crust! It’s such a simple dish but power-packed with flavour! My mouth is watering as I’m writing this post!
Checkout the video below of Yang’s Kitchen pipping hot Char Siew! You can see the glisten and char on the outside and moist, juicy and tender meat on the inside! I’m really not exaggerating!
1/2 kg of Char Siew is priced at SGD25 and 1 kg of Char Siew is SGD45. 1kg of Char Siew can feed up to 5 people comfortably or if you have 2-3 very hungry people!
