Review: Ellure Invigorating Tomato Shower Gel

From the makers of the famous Tomato Bubble Mask, Ellure Group has recently launched 3 brand new products to add to their tomato range and I’m so excited about it! @triple_3es has so kindly sent me the Invigorating Tomato Shower Gel to try!

I really wanted to support Ellure Group which is a local SG brand and also support @triple_3es  so I decided to purchase the Shampoo and Conditioner as well! So stay tuned for my review on that!

For now, here are my thoughts on Ellure Invigorating Tomato Shower Gel!

Product Description

Ellure Invigorating Tomato Shower Gel helps to gently cleanse your skin. It’s highly moisturising, nourishing and balances your PH levels to keep your skin invigorated.

It also claims to reduce UV damage to skin. Promotes skin whitening, firming and anti-ageing. It’s also suitable for sensitive skin and helps to soothe skin inflammation and skin irritations.

Key Ingredients

Tomatoes

Tomatoes are loaded to with antioxidants. They are known to help lighten dark spots to help the skin remain youthful and bright. Tomatoes also work as a natural astringent to help tighten the skin and to shrink large pores.

It also helps to reduce body odour, soothe the skin, reduce heat on the skin’s surface and also even out redness caused by sunburn.

Centella

Centella are rich in amino acids, beta carotene, fatty acids and numerous potent phytochemicals. It also helps to calm inflammation and encourage the production of collagen.

Centella also helps speed up wound healing, stimulate new cell growth, and helps to improve skin hydration.

Japanese Knotweed

Japanese knotted is a great source of resveratrol. It helps prevent saggy skin and prolongs a more youthful appearance.

It will not only re-energise the look of your skin, but it will also clarify and balance your skin tone, leaving it luminous and glowing. Knotweed can also help soothe temporary flare up and alleviates the appearance of occasional redness.

Scutellaria Baicalensis

Flavonoids present in Scutellaria Baicalensis’s roots has anti allergy and anti -inflammatory properties. It’s also able to increase UV protection activity on your skin.

Scutellaria Baicalensis’s root extract has also been found to promote skin cells-keratinocyte differentiation and help to restore the skin barrier function. It’s commonly used in cosmetics and sunscreen for whitening and anti-aging.

Green Tea (AKA Camellia Sinensis)

Green tea has the ability to protect your skin from UV-induced oxidative stress. It’s also effective in soothing dry skin and reduce trans-epidermal water loss to keep your skin hydrated.

It also helps to nourish your skin with vitamins B2, E and C. Minerals like Zinc is also present which are essential for your skin health and also reduces the appearance of premature signs of aging.

German Chamomile (AKA Matricaria)

German Chamomile Extract has demonstrated a number of beneficial effects for the skin! It’s anti inflammatory, helps to heal wounds, reduce photo damage and is also a natural moisturiser. Its a calming agent for skin irritation such as bug bites.

The antibacterial attributes of German Chamomile can help protect the skin from infections, while it’s antioxidants properties makes it great for all skin types. It also helps to improve dermatitis symptoms, decreased swelling and reduce levels of inflammation.

German Chamomile is also suitable for eczema skin conditions as it helps to ease the symptoms of itchy, red, cracked and rough skin.

Licorice Root (AKA Glycyrrhiza Glabra)

Licorice root extract is used in combination with vitamin C to help protect the skin from sun damage and reduce pigmentation significantly. Licorice root extract contains Glycyrrhizin which has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help to reduce irritation, itching and redness on skin.

It also helps to fight free radicals by inhibiting and preventing excess melanin production and also prevents premature aging.

Rosemary (AKA Rosmarinus Officinalis)

Rosemary extract has anti-inflammatory properties which helps to reduce skin swelling and puffiness. It’s medicinal properties makes it a powerful ingredient to help improve chronic skin conditions including dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis.

The herb also has disinfectant and antibiotic properties which can help to treat acne and oily skin conditions. Rosmarinic acid found in rosemary extract, also has the power to soothe irritated skin.

My Opinions

The packaging of Ellure Invigorating Tomato Shower Gel is SO ON POINT! I love the pink ball shape which kinda reminds me of a tomato!

The bottle also has a lock function cap which makes it super convenient to bring it on your next staycation so you don’t have to worry about leakages in your bag!

The shower gel is bright orange in colour and is quite concentrated so a little goes a long way! It foams up really easily and the foam created is really dense!

The scent of the shower gel is light and floral and it’s quite similar to Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle perfume! So if you love that scent, you will definitely love this shower gel!

After using it, I found that my skin is really soft and smooth! It’s really moisturising without leaving any oily film behind! and because of the astringent effect, it looks almost like I’ve applied a filter on my skin because it looks really flawless as compared to my usual body wash!

The most visible effect is the whitening and brightening effects! look at the before and after photos below!! They were taken 3 days apart!

Overall, It’s a good shower gel, it smells great, leaves your skin moisturised, foams up really well and does the job so there’s really nothing to not love about it!

Personally, I love the brightening effect! so if you’re looking for a product to help brighten and even out your skin tone I would definitely recommend getting this product!
