Artisan of Sense is a candle and diffuser maker based in Singapore owned by Vivian Chung a mother of two.
Their candles are made of eco-friendly soy wax from US-grown soybeans, which produce a clean, steady and beautiful flame. They only use 100% pure, therapeutic grade essential oils from plants that are fresh and uplifting to ensure that every candle made is of an unmatched quality. Their artisanal candles are handpoured in small batches and also contain natural lead-free cotton wicks. No phathlates, no parabens, no sulphates, no animal testing or toxins in their products.
The Artisan of Sense candle which I have was a wedding gift from my Mom’s friend. If she hadn’t given this to me I wouldn’t have known about this beautiful homegrown brand. It also sparked a fire in me to hunt down other Singapore homegrown brands to introduce to you guys!
The candle I’ve been burning in our new apartment is the Lavendar with Eucalyptus and Sage.

Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender is the world’s most used essential oil. It’s great for helping to calm the mind and relax the body! It’s soothing fragrance helps alleviate sleep disturbance and depression. AND It also helps in treating migraines and headaches, removing nervous exhaustion and restlessness.
Eucalyptus Essential Oil
Eucalyptus oil comes from fresh leaves of the evergreen eucalyptus tree which has antibacterial and powerful medicinal qualities. Eucalyptus is an excellent air purifier, which is effective in killing airborne bacteria and germs, keeping your home clean and fresh!
Sage Essential Oil
Sage helps promote respiratory health and aids with mental fatigue. It has the ability to strengthen the senses and vital entre of the body it also helps to support metabolism. Its spicy and distinctive scent is a perfect friendship with lavender and eucalyptus.
The packaging was simple and clean which was a MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN with my apartment interior design! The candle was nestled in a goregous white reusable recycled glass jar with a beautiful rose gold metal lid which also double up as a candle holder. It comes housed in a beautiful blush pink box as well!!! PERFECT for gifting you friends and family!!
Like I’ve mentioned at the start of my post If I had to use 1 word to describe Artisan of Sense candles it would be PURE. If you’ve watched my unboxing video on instagram you would have seen that this candle was loaded and saturated with essential oils. The fragrance was even seeping out through the box BEFORE I unboxed it!

When I lighted the candle, it’s flame was steady and smokeless and within minutes the smooth white wax melted into a glorious pool of liquid gold shimmering in the light.
The fragrance was a perfect blend of essential oils and the scent was CLEAN and PURE! Absolutely nothing artificial about it! NON! NADA!
I love burning this candle in the bathroom and bedroom as the fragrance soothes, calms and prepares me to wind down for the night.
If you’re expecting a strong scent throw the likes of Bath and Body Works or Yankee Candles. You are not going to find it here! Candles with a stronger scent throw are usually made with artificial fragrance oil but that is not what Artisan of Sense is about!
Disclaimer: I’m not against Candles with artificial fragrance oil! I still love my Jo Malone and Yankee Candles etc! Just saying!
