We’re officially 13 weeks away to 2020! 2019 has been a roller coaster ride for me to say the least! However, the perfumes I’m always reaching for this year has remained a constant!

Perfumes and fragrances not only make us smell beautiful and feel wonderful but it amazes me that they are such powerful “Time Machine”. Closing my eyes and smelling each fragrance as I write this post brings me back to specific moments in time, triggering a specific memory I could never forget! Here are my Top 3 Favourite Perfumes!

The silk blossom fragrance brings me back to my trip to London! I clearly remember my goal back then was to buy a full size bottle of Jo Malone perfume. Jo Malone is such a quintessentially British brand I couldn’t leave London without a bottle of Jo Malone perfume. This perfume is best described as an all in one light, fresh, spicy, floral and sweet scent! How did Jo Malone manage to layer these scents into one!? Incredible! Downside? Silk blossom has a really weak staying power. However I find myself reaching for this scent all the same cause it just smells so good!! I love wearing this during the weekends especially on cooler rainy days; it just brings me back to the memories of walking down the streets of London!

Jo Malone – Peony and Blush Suede

Peony and Blush Suede was my first perfume from Jo Malone. My Ex-boyfriend now husband surprised me with this perfume on my 23rd birthday and I wore this perfume all throughout my internship in Public Relations. Whenever I put on this perfume it brings me back to those days of meetings with various TV Networks and going for Networking Events! Thank God I had a great internship experience I would never want to associate bad memories with this fragrance! It’s too good to link a bad memory to this!

Peony and blush suede is best describe as a sexy, floral, put together scent. There’s just something about the smell of suede leather that makes my heart flutter! I AM ALL for that suede drydown! (Yes! I’m that girl that smells a pair of new leather shoes and bags fresh from the boutique! I would take the brand new shoes/ bag out of it’s box.. sit on the floor and just hold it up to my nose and breathe in DEEPLY! LOL! My husband finds it a weird habit but I absolutely love it! Is there anyone out there with me on this? Do you love the smell of new leather shoes/bags?? )

Chanel No.5 Eau Premiere

Chanel perfume review, best perfume , chanel number 5, chanel, sabrinashares

Top Notes: Neroli, Yylang-ylang, Aldehydes
Middle Notes: Rose Absolute, Jasmine from Grasse
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Vetiver, Vanilla

Chanel No.5 Eau Premiere is my “take-me-seriously” scent. I wear this almost everyday to work where I’ve got meetings or presentation or an event after work. No.5 Eau Premiere starts as this powdery, fresh and sparkling scent. The sharpness and tartness of this perfume develops into this warm comforting floral fragrance which envelops me like a cozy hug. It further develops and dries down to a fluffy creamy vanilla which is not cloyingly sweet, the musky vanilla scent is almost mysterious, sexy and expensive at the same time.

This was my wedding scent so whenever I put this on, it brings me back to the moment I walked down the aisle in my Carolina Herrera wedding gown to my handsome husband in his classic custom made tuxedo and reciting our vows to each other.

The staying power of the No5 Eau Premiere is extremely long lasting it literally takes me from day to night! If you’re thinking of buying the  classic Chanel No.5 but is afraid it may too overpowering, try the Chanel No.5 Eau Premiere, you’re not gonna regret it!

What are your favourite perfumes? What memories do you have attached to them?? Have you tried any of my favourites?
